Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Conduct research and teaching in Linguistics

• Participate in educational and research activities within the Faculty of Letters and Graduate School of Humanities

• Teach liberal arts courses, including courses delivered in English, Korean, or Russian

• Contribute to Nagoya University’s research and education projects

• Support entrance examinations, academic administration, and institutional activities

• Participate in wider academic and social engagement initiatives

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A PhD by the date of appointment

• Strong research expertise in Linguistics

• An outstanding record of academic research achievements

• Ability to perform professional duties in Japanese

• Ability to teach syntax, semantics, or general linguistics

• Capacity to teach introductory linguistics courses

• Ability to contribute to foreign-language education in liberal arts programmes
