About the Role
The position is associated with the Language and Communication Centre (LCC) within the School of Humanities.
The LCC delivers communication courses to both undergraduate and graduate students across the university, including:
CC0001: Inquiry & Communication in an Interdisciplinary World, a first-year communication course that guides students through the writing process and develops critical thinking skills.
Upper-level discipline-specific communication courses for students in:
Engineering
Humanities
Sciences
Social Sciences
The Centre places strong emphasis on:
Writing as a tool for thinking and inquiry
Student feedback literacy
Rhetorical awareness
Effective communication across disciplines
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
Teach communication courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
Deliver instruction in interdisciplinary and discipline-specific communication modules.
Design and facilitate writing activities and assignments.
Foster critical thinking, academic writing, and communication competencies among students.
Contribute to the Centre's teaching initiatives and curriculum development activities.
