Position Details

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.)/Master in Physical Education and Sports (M.P.E.S.) with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point-based grading system.

• Ph.D. degree in the concerned or allied discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, or equivalent research experience at a University/National Level Institution, with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

• A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the UGC Regulations, 2018.

OR

• An outstanding professional having a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from an academic institution or industry with significant contributions to knowledge supported by documentary evidence and possessing ten years of experience.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Educational administration

• Examination management

• Curriculum and course design

• Training and orientation programmes

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and mentorship in Physical Education and Sports.

• Lead research activities and supervise doctoral scholars.

• Contribute to curriculum development and academic administration.

• Strengthen the University's teaching, research, and outreach initiatives in sports education.
