Faculty Recruitment 2026: School of Business Management (SBM) Mumbai

The School of Business Management (SBM) is inviting applications for full-time faculty positions in the Department of Economics at its Mumbai Campus. The institution is seeking highly qualified academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to contribute to its academic excellence.

Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

1. Professor

• Academic Track: * Ph.D. with a First Class (or equivalent) in a Master’s Degree in Business Management, Administration, or a relevant discipline.

  • Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, with at least 3 years equivalent to an Associate Professor.

  • Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

  • Minimum Research Score of 120.

  • Must have successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.

• Industry Track (Alternative): * Equivalent qualifications (Ph.D., PGDM, or professional degrees like CA/ICWA/CS).

  • 10–15 years of significant, nationally/internationally recognized managerial experience at a Senior Managerial level in a large organization/MNC.

2. Associate Professor

• Academic Track:

  • Ph.D. with a First Class (or equivalent) in a Master’s Degree.

  • Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in teaching/research/industry, including at least 3 years of post-Ph.D. experience.

  • Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

  • Minimum Research Score of 75.

• Industry Track (Alternative):

  • Equivalent qualifications (Ph.D., PGDM, or professional degrees like CA/ICWA/CS).

  • 8 years of significant, nationally/internationally recognized managerial experience at a Senior Managerial level.

3. Assistant Professor

• Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. is mandatory with a minimum of 55% in a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline.

• Research/Professional Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, OR a First Class graduate professionally qualified as a CA, ICWA, or CS.

• Desirable Traits:

  • 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience.

  • Presentation of at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR sponsored conferences.

Remuneration

• Salary scales will be strictly in accordance with UGC guidelines.

• Remuneration will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
