Salary
Senior Lecturer – Level C: AUD 155,236–178,523 per annum
Associate Professor – Level D: AUD 186,433–205,067 per annum
The package also includes 17% employer superannuation and annual leave loading.
About the Role
The appointed academic will make a significant contribution to the Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences through high-quality teaching and curriculum design.
The role will also involve leading an active research programme in Speech Science aligned with the candidate’s expertise.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate may be expected to:
Deliver high-quality teaching in Speech and Hearing Sciences
Contribute to curriculum design and programme development
Lead internationally recognised research in Speech Science
Publish high-quality academic research
Supervise honours, postgraduate, and doctoral students
Build interdisciplinary research collaborations
Contribute to academic leadership and departmental activities
Support the wider work of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences
Candidate Profile
The position is suitable for experienced academics with:
A PhD in Linguistics, Speech Science, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a related field
A strong record of university-level teaching
An established research and publication profile
Experience in curriculum design and student supervision
Capacity to lead collaborative research programmes
Strong academic leadership and communication skills
