The University of Leicester School of Business invites applications for the position of Associate Professor in Management Learning and Education (Teaching and Practice).
This role focuses on academic pedagogical leadership, modern curriculum design, student experience enhancement, and advancing practice-led management education across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key Responsibilities & Areas of Focus
Pedagogical Leadership: Lead curriculum innovation, innovative teaching strategies, and technology-enhanced learning across management studies.
Instructional Delivery: Teach core and specialized modules across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education levels.
Practice-Led Scholarship: Engage in scholarship related to higher education pedagogy, management learning, and professional business practice.
Student Experience & Employability: Drive student engagement, curriculum decolonisation/diversification, and work-integrated learning initiatives.
Academic Citizenship: Contribute to school governance, programme directorship, peer mentoring, and external accreditation activities (e.g., AACSB, AMBA, Small Business Charter).
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Educational Background: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. / Ed.D. / DBA) in Management, Higher Education, or a related field, or equivalent substantial professional and leadership standing.
Teaching & Leadership Track Record: Demonstrated excellence in higher education teaching with sustained leadership in curriculum design, programme development, and pedagogical innovation.
Professional Recognition: Senior Fellowship of Advance HE (SFHEA) or eligibility and willingness to achieve equivalent professional standing.
Industry & Practice Engagement: Track record of connecting classroom learning with real-world business practice, executive training, or industry partnerships.
