Lecturer in AI and Business (School of Marketing and Strategy)Ref: 13479

Lecturer in Management and AI (School of Management)Ref: 13489

Both permanent Grade 8 positions combine world-changing research, research-inspired education, and impactful civic engagement.

Role Profiles & Core Responsibilities

1. Lecturer in AI and Business

  • Department: School of Marketing and Strategy

  • Reference: 13479

  • Teaching Domain: Undergraduate and postgraduate modules in AI Agent Solutions in Business, AI Systems Thinking, Digital Transformation, Intelligent Automation & Operation, and Technology Strategy.

  • Research Focus: Developing internationally recognized, world-leading publications with societal impact, securing external grant funding, and providing PGR/PhD supervision.

2. Lecturer in Management and AI

  • Department: School of Management

  • Reference: 13489

  • Teaching & Research Domain: Core areas of Human Resource Management (HRM), Organisational Behaviour, Employment Relations, and Business Ethics integrated with AI.

  • Strategic Leadership: Helping establish a School-level AI Community of Practice, building interdisciplinary collaborations across healthcare, climate, and education, and developing thematic research initiatives/centres in AI applications in management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Criteria (Both Roles):

  • Education: Earned Ph.D. in a relevant subject area (e.g., AI, Business, HRM, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Psychology, Management, or related field).

  • Research & Publications: Established track record of high-quality publications suitable for REF submission (4* or equivalent potential).

  • Funding: Clear forward plans for research programmes and evidence of external grant applications.

  • Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, lecturing, and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Teaching Accreditation: Fellowship of the HEA (or commitment to obtain within 12 months).

  • Language Proficiency: High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
