Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Conduct research in information networks and information security.

• Work on areas such as network architecture, sensor networks, virtualization, cloud computing, authentication, access control, cybersecurity, and privacy protection.

• Support the operation and maintenance of research and education systems at ACCMS.

• Promote collaborative research on large-scale information infrastructure.

• Contribute to operational planning and management of communication infrastructure.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Communications and Computer Engineering.

• Supervise graduate students and assist in academic administration.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

• A Ph.D. degree (or expected to obtain one before the appointment).

• Strong research achievements in information networks or information security.

• Motivation to conduct internationally competitive research.

• Interest in collaborative research related to data utilization.

• Ability to communicate and work effectively in Japanese.

• Capability to teach and supervise students in Japanese or English.

Appointment Details

• Expected Start Date: As early as possible or after 1 October 2026

• Term of Appointment: Until 31 March 2030 (Non-renewable)

• Probation Period: 6 months
