The School of Business & Leadership (SoBL) at Johnson University is seeking a dynamic Christian leader to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor. Role Overview

  • Instructional Load: Faculty generally teach four courses per term (depending on enrollments and credit hours).

  • Mentorship: Advise and mentor students to ensure academic and professional success.

  • Student Support: Help students locate internships and provide guidance.

  • Service: Participate in activities beyond the classroom, such as recruiting career fairs and extracurricular campus events.

  • Mission Alignment: Preference is given to candidates with a history of membership with Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Business Administration from a regionally accredited university. Candidates with a concentration/specialization/major in Finance and/or Economics are especially encouraged to apply.

  • Experience: Two to five years of teaching experience in a higher education setting.

  • Teaching Capabilities: Experienced practitioner/scholar with the ability to design interactive, diverse, and experiential learning strategies to accommodate various learning styles.

  • Core Competencies: Proficient in standard office and internet applications; strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Commitment: Must be fully committed to supporting Johnson University's Mission Statement and Statement of Faith & Practice.
