Overview of Role
The Department of Finance at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington, invites applications for an Open Rank Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position commencing in Fall 2027.
Appointments will be made at either the Clinical or Lecturer classification based on the candidate's academic background and industry experience. The department seeks individuals who can deliver high-impact instruction, manage relationships with corporate partners, and assume future leadership roles within Kelley's teaching programs.
Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope
Instructional Load: Standard teaching load of 18 credit hours per academic year, primarily at the undergraduate level with possible graduate-level course assignments.
Curricular Domains: Core and advanced finance coursework, with strong demand in Fintech and Investments.
Institutional Leadership & Service: Engage in departmental and school-wide committee work, manage corporate partnerships, and potentially direct one of Kelley’s signature undergraduate workshops or MBA-level academies.
Qualifications & Candidate Profile
Clinical Track Requirements:
Ph.D. or doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related discipline (completed by August 2027).
Direct professional experience in the finance industry.
Lecturer Track Requirements:
Minimum of a Master’s degree in Finance or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant industry experience in high-impact Financial Services and/or Corporate Finance roles.
Preferred Profile:
Direct experience or instructional background in Fintech and Investments.
Proven ability to collaborate with student organizations, faculty teams, and corporate recruiters.
