Eligibility of Candidates

Applications are invited from:

• Indian Nationals

• Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

  (Foreign nationals are those who do not hold an Indian passport.)

Appointment Rules for Foreign Nationals

• Foreign nationals may be appointed on contract for up to 5 years, renewable thereafter.

• PIO/OCI card holders are eligible for permanent faculty positions.

Minimum Qualification (All Positions)

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline

• First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree

• Excellent academic record throughout all prior degrees

Experience Requirements

Professor

• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience

• At least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent

Associate Professor

• Minimum 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience

• At least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent

Assistant Professor

• Ph.D. with excellent academic record

• Fresh PhD candidates: Appointed on contract for first 3 years, with scope for regularization

• Candidates with 3+ years post-PhD experience may be appointed on a regular basis

Pay Scale (7th Central Pay Commission)

Salary Benefits & Allowances

In addition to basic pay, faculty members are entitled to:

• Dearness Allowance (DA)

• House Rent Allowance (HRA) (if housing not provided)

• Medical reimbursement

• Leave Travel Concession (LTC)

• Children Education Allowance

• Transportation Allowance

• New Pension Scheme (NPS) contribution

• Telephone reimbursement (limited)

Research & Career Support

• Research Initiation Grant: Up to ₹25 lakhs (with scope for supplementary grant)

• Financial support for national & international conferences

Special Incentives

• Top-up salary of ₹25,000/month for first 3 years for newly joined faculty

• Young Faculty Fellowship: ₹15,000/month for 3 years (for faculty up to age 40, performance-based)

Housing & Travel Benefits

• Institute housing provided (subject to availability)

• Free high-speed internet in faculty housing

• International travel reimbursement up to ₹1,50,000 for newly joined faculty and dependent family members

• Domestic travel reimbursement as per Government of India rules

Reservation Policy

Reservation in direct recruitment will be as per:

• Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019
