IIM Kozhikode particularly considers candidates' teaching and research experience, publication quality, industry exposure and alignment with the Institute's academic requirements during shortlisting. (IIM Kozhikode)

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an appropriate subject

• First Class or equivalent, with overall 60% or above, at the preceding degree

• Excellent academic record throughout

Research & Publication Requirements

Assistant Professor Grade I

Candidates must have at least one journal publication in their area of specialization in a journal classified as:

• A or above in the latest ABDC Journal Ranking, or

• 3 or above in the latest ABS Journal Ranking

For applicants in Corporate Law, Psychology, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, a Q1 journal under the latest Web of Science ranking may be considered in lieu of the ABDC/ABS requirement.

Assistant Professor Grade II

Candidates should be a significant contributor to at least one published journal article in their area of specialization meeting any of the following classifications:

• A or above under the latest ABDC ranking

• 3 or above under the latest ABS ranking

• Q1 or Q2 under the latest Web of Science journal ranking

Experience Requirements

Assistant Professor Grade I

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching or equivalent research/industrial experience after Ph.D.

Assistant Professor Grade II

• Fresh Ph.D. holders may apply.

• Candidates having less than 3 years of teaching or equivalent research/industrial experience may also apply.

• Such candidates may initially be considered for appointment on a contractual basis as Assistant Professor Grade II at Academic Pay Level 10 or 11 depending on experience.

• Regularization will be considered according to IIM Kozhikode rules.

Remuneration & Benefits

Assistant Professor Grade I

Pay Level: 12 / 13A1

Assistant Professor Grade II

Pay Level: 10 / 11

Applicable allowances and other benefits will be governed by IIM Kozhikode rules and Government of India norms.
