The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhagalpur, an Institute of National Importance established under the IIIT (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for Faculty Positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I and Assistant Professor Grade II (On Contract) in various departments and disciplines of the Institute.

About IIIT Bhagalpur

IIIT Bhagalpur was established in 2017 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with support from the Government of Bihar and industry partner BELTRON. The institute currently offers B.Tech programmes, M.Tech programmes in three specialisations, and Ph.D. programmes in relevant disciplines.

• Assistant Professor Grade I

  • Pay Level: 12

• Assistant Professor Grade II (On Contract)

  • Pay Level: 10

Recruitment is open across various departments and disciplines of the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the educational qualifications, experience requirements, and other criteria prescribed under:

• Schedule ‘E’ of the Statutes of NITs as adopted by IIIT Bhagalpur.

• Ministry of Education Recruitment Rules and subsequent amendments/clarifications applicable to IIITs.

Applicants are advised to carefully review the detailed notification for discipline-specific requirements.

• Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 15 July 2026 (11:23:55 PM)

• Last Date for Receipt of Printed Application and Self-Attested Documents: 22 July 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)
