The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Surat, an Institute of National Importance, has released an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. IIITS/RF/2026-27/01) for the post of Assistant Professor (Grade-II). This is a direct recruitment drive for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).

Academic Specializations

The institute is seeking experts in various core and emerging areas of CSE, including but not limited to:

• Cybersecurity & Blockchain

• AI/ML, Data Science, and Data Analytics

• Cloud Computing & Internet of Things (IoT)

• Natural Language Processing (NLP)

• Computer Vision and Advanced Algorithms

Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a First Class (or equivalent) in both Bachelor’s (B.Tech/BE) and Master’s (M.Tech/ME) degrees.

• Desirable Credentials: * Minimum of 02 research papers published or accepted in journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus.

  • A valid GATE score.

  • Experience in consultancy projects, patents granted, or industry collaboration.

  • Participation in NPTEL/SWAYAM or other MOOCs-related academic activities.
