Temporary, Retired/Superannuated Teacher & Guest Faculty Positions

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh has released an official notification inviting applications for engagement of Assistant Professors on Temporary Basis, Retired/Superannuated Teachers, and Guest Faculty for the Academic Year 2026–27.

Organization Details

Position Overview

Applications are invited for engagement in various departments of the university for:

• Assistant Professor on Temporary Basis

• Retired/Superannuated Teachers

• Guest Faculty Positions

Appointments will initially be for one semester, extendable by another semester based on:

• Satisfactory performance

• Good conduct

• Departmental requirements

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess:

• Good academic record

• Excellent teaching ability

• Relevant academic qualifications as per UGC norms

• Relevant teaching/research experience

Additional Preference

Candidates having:

• Post-Doctoral experience

• High-quality research publications

• Scopus-indexed/reputed journal publications

• Research experience in premier institutions

may receive higher consolidated remuneration.

Salary / Honorarium

Guest Faculty

• INR 50,000 per month (maximum)

OR

• INR 1,500 per lecture

(Whichever is less)

Temporary Assistant Professors

(With minimum two years of teaching experience)

• INR 57,000 per month consolidated

OR

• INR 1,500 per lecture

(Whichever is less)

Highly Qualified Candidates in Emerging Areas

Candidates with exceptional academic and research credentials may receive:

• Up to INR 75,000 per month consolidated

OR

• INR 1,500 per lecture

(Whichever is less)

Subject to approval by competent authority.

Preference may be given in areas such as:

• Computer Science

• Molecular Biology

• Geography & Geoinformatics

Workload & Responsibilities

Selected faculty members will be expected to:

• Conduct lectures and academic activities

• Guide and mentor students

• Participate in departmental functions
