📋 About the Opportunity
Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) is inviting applications from scholars in the fields of environmental, resource, and/or energy economics for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment is set to begin on July 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
Teaching & Leadership: Contribute to teaching and intellectual leadership across SIPA’s Climate, Environment, and Energy curriculum at both master's and undergraduate levels.
Scholarly Impact: Maintain an active research agenda, publish high-impact scholarly work, and engage with students within a vibrant academic community addressing global challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field focusing on environmental, resource, or energy economics (required by the time of appointment)
Expectations: Candidates must demonstrate scholarly excellence, a strong passion for engaging with students, and a sustained commitment to research, publication, and teaching.
