The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, Manipur, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 inviting applications for various faculty positions. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the prescribed online format for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor across various constituent Colleges and the Multi Technology Testing Centre/Vocational Training Centre.

Vacancy Details & Pay Scale

The university is looking to fill a total of 22 vacancies across multiple Veterinary Science disciplines.

Professor: 3 Vacancies | Pay Scale: Academic Level 14 (Rs. 1,44,200/-).

Associate Professor: 13 Vacancies | Pay Scale: Academic Level 13A (Rs. 1,31,400/-).

Assistant Professor: 6 Vacancies | Pay Scale: Academic Level 10 (Rs. 57,700/-).

Available disciplines include Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Livestock Production Management, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Parasitology, and Veterinary Public Health.

Eligibility Criteria

The essential qualifications vary depending on the specific academic level applied for:

Professor: A Doctoral degree in the relevant subject is required, along with a recognized veterinary qualification registered with a State Veterinary Council or Veterinary Council of India. Candidates must have Master's and B.V.Sc. & A.H. degrees with at least 55% marks. Additionally, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and significant research contributions (evidenced by a minimum of 10 publications with a high NAAS Impact Factor) are mandatory.

Associate Professor: A Doctoral degree in the relevant subject, a recognized registered veterinary qualification, and Master's/B.V.Sc. & A.H. degrees with at least 55% marks are essential. Candidates must possess 8 years of relevant experience and have made significant contributions in Research, Teaching, or Extension Education.

Assistant Professor: A Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks and clearance of the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR, ASRB, UGC, or CSIR is required. Alternatively, a Ph.D. in the relevant subject with published research papers in scientific journals is acceptable.

Application Fee & Age Limit

Application Fee: An application fee of Rs. 1,000/- is applicable for UR and OBC candidates. The fee must be paid online. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Women categories are completely exempted from the fee payment.

Age Limit: * For the post of Assistant Professor, the maximum age limit is 40 years as on the last date of application submission.

• The preferred age limit is below 50 years for Associate Professor and below 55 years for the post of Professor.

• Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India norms (3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD).

Uploaded documents must be submitted as a single PDF file not exceeding 60 MB in size and 120 pages in total.

Application Deadline: The online submission portal will remain accessible until 10th May, 2026.

Candidates who have already applied against previous Advertisement Nos. 02/2025 and 04/2025 are not required to apply again; however, they may update or submit additional supporting documents via the portal.
