The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida, is inviting applications for a Regular Full-Time Assistant Professor position in the area of Insurance under its IBM Programme.

Key Responsibilities

The selected faculty member will be responsible for:

• Teaching core and elective courses in Insurance

• Developing, updating and reviewing course materials and curriculum

• Conducting examinations and supporting declaration of results

• Designing assessment tools, preparing question papers and grading

• Mentoring and advising students on academic and professional development

• Conducting and publishing high-quality research in reputed journals

• Contributing to academic thought leadership

• Publishing at least one journal paper and contributing to the organisation of an MDP

• Developing course material, information bulletins and academic handbooks

• Participating in institutional development and administrative responsibilities

• Engaging in community outreach initiatives

• Undertaking consulting assignments and strengthening industry-academia collaboration

• Coordinating with external experts and guest faculty for teaching and evaluation

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

• Ph.D./FPM in Management or a related discipline from a reputed university/institution

Relevant areas of specialisation may include:

• Insurance Laws & Regulations

• Marine Insurance

• Risk Management

• Insurance Analytics

• Related Insurance disciplines

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D./FPM thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply for the Assistant Professor position.

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience

• Publications in Insurance and Risk Management

• Strong academic and research credentials

• University rank holder credentials

• Experience with contemporary teaching tools and methodologies

Industry practitioners with prior experience in offline and online teaching are also encouraged to apply, provided they possess a PGDM/MBA degree.
