Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, in Library and Information Science or a concerned, relevant or allied subject from a recognised Indian university.

• An equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university may also be considered.

• NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an equivalent examination such as SLET/SET.

Candidates holding a PhD awarded in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations may be exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement, subject to the conditions stated in the official advertisement.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive a fixed salary equivalent to the initial pay of a newly appointed Assistant Professor, as per university rules.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment will remain valid until the end of the academic session 2026–27 or until a General Selection Committee is conducted, whichever is earlier.

The university may terminate the appointment at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason.
