ADB & Bank of Korea Conference 2025 โ€“ Submit Your Research!

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Bank of Korea (BOK) invite researchers and policymakers to submit original, unpublished papers exploring the role of fiscal and monetary policies in fostering inclusive growth in developing and emerging markets.

As global inequality and economic disparities persist, effective fiscal and monetary policies have become crucial for achieving sustainable and equitable development. This conference aims to bring together leading experts, academics, and policymakers to discuss innovative approaches that enhance policy frameworks for inclusive growth.

Selected papers will be presented in-person at the conference. For each accepted paper, travel and accommodation support will be provided to one author from an ADB member economy.

Accepted conference papers will be considered for fast-track review in the Journal of International Money and Finance (JIMF) for a special issue on Inclusive Growth and Policy Coordination. Papers submitted for JIMF consideration will undergo the standard peer-review process.

Papers must be submitted online through the designated submission portal. Authors will be notified of acceptance by June 2025.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINESโ€ฏย 

Authors should submit a full draft paper of around 5,000โ€“8,000 words (including an abstract of around 200 words and references) by April 30, 2025. Please include a description of the paperโ€™s research background, results, and conclusions, as well as the name, affiliation, position, and email of each author. The corresponding author should be clearly marked on the submission. The abstract should briefly state the purpose of the research, principal results, and primary conclusion.

Selection Criteria 

The participants must certify that the submitted entry is original and has not been previously published in a journal. The participant must also certify that the submission does not infringe on any copyright, privacy rights, or legal rights of any third party. Submissions will be judged based on criteria such as:

  • Originality
  • Analytical rigor
  • Policy relevance in the Asian context
  • Readability/Coherenceย
