The Association of Indian Economic and Financial Studies (AIEFS) is pleased to announce its 25th Biennial Conference, scheduled for 28th – 30th July 2025 at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat, India. This three-day event will bring together researchers, academicians, policymakers, and professionals to discuss key developmental challenges and opportunities in economics and finance, particularly in emerging and developing economies. The conference will feature multiple academic sessions and invited lectures on a broad spectrum of topics relevant to sustainable economic growth, financial inclusivity, and development policies.
Call for Papers
We invite researchers to submit original, unpublished papers aligned with the following broad themes (not limited to):
- Alternative development paradigms
- Financial inclusion and rural finance
- Public finance and governance
- Fintech and development
- Health, education, and human development
- Growth and employment
- Regional development
- Poverty and unemployment
- Role of public policy in development
- Agriculture and rural livelihoods
- Sustainable development
- Population and migration
- Trade and development
- Financialization and development
- Climate finance
- Informal economy
Submission Guidelines: Authors interested in presenting at the conference must submit a 1000-word extended abstract or a full paper, including:
- Title and author(s) details
- Research motivation and literature gap
- Research question(s), methodology, data, and expected/actual outcomes
- A short (100-word) abstract summarizing the study
- Author affiliations and contact details
- Areas of specialization and interest in discussing other papers
Session Proposals: If proposing an entire session (three to four papers), submit a 300-word session theme along with abstracts/papers.
