About IIM Kozhikode

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is one of India’s premier management institutions, known for its strong emphasis on academic excellence, global engagement, and research-driven teaching. With a vision of Globalizing Indian Thought, IIM Kozhikode actively collaborates with leading scholars and institutions across the world.

As part of this vision, IIM Kozhikode invites applications for its Distinguished Visiting Scholar (DVS) Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27.

Distinguished Visiting Scholar (DVS) Programme

The DVS Programme is designed to bring accomplished international scholars to the IIM Kozhikode campus for short-term academic engagements. The programme encourages intellectual exchange, collaborative research, and meaningful academic interaction between visiting scholars and IIMK faculty, students, and researchers.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are invited from accomplished and senior scholars affiliated with premier institutions outside India. Candidates should demonstrate:

• A strong record of academic research and publications
• Recognized contributions to their respective fields
• Interest in collaborative research and academic engagement

Programme Duration

• Duration: 1 to 3 months
• Academic Year: 2026–27

The duration may be finalized based on mutual academic interest and institutional requirements.

Scholars from the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:

• Economics
• Finance, Accounting & Control
• Marketing
• Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources
• Strategic Management
• Information Technology & Systems
• Quantitative Methods & Operations Management
• Humanities & Liberal Arts in Management

Interdisciplinary research proposals are also welcome.

Objectives of the Programme

The Distinguished Visiting Scholar Programme aims to:

• Promote collaborative research between visiting scholars and IIMK faculty
• Facilitate academic seminars, workshops, and lectures
• Support mentoring of doctoral and postgraduate students
• Enable selective teaching engagements, where appropriate

The programme strengthens IIM Kozhikode’s global academic network and enhances knowledge exchange across borders.
