UGC NET December 2025 Notification Released – Apply Online Now

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the UGC – NET December 2025 Examination. The UGC NET (University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test) is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for:

• Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
• Appointment as Assistant Professor
• Admission to Ph.D. programmes in Indian universities and colleges

This year, the exam will be held for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

• Submission of Online Application Form: 07 October 2025 to 07 November 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
• Last date for submission of Examination Fee: 07 November 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
• Correction Window for Application Form: 10 November 2025 to 12 November 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
• Announcement of Exam City: To be intimated later
• Downloading of Admit Card: To be intimated later
• Date of Examination: To be intimated later
• Centre, Date & Shift: As indicated on Admit Card
• Display of Answer Keys & Recorded Responses: To be announced later on the website

Application Fee

• General / Unreserved: ₹1150/-
• General-EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹600/-
• SC / ST / PwD: ₹325/-
• Third Gender: ₹325/-

Payment can be made through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI.

Important Instructions for Candidates

1. Applications are accepted only in online mode through https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
2. Only one application is allowed per candidate. Multiple submissions will be rejected.
3. Candidates must carefully read and follow the instructions in the Information Bulletin available on the website.
4. Ensure that the email ID and mobile number used for registration are valid and belong to the candidate/parents/guardians. All communication will be sent only to the registered email and mobile number.
5. In case of difficulty, candidates may contact the NTA helpdesk at 011-40759000 / 011-69227700 or email at ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
6. Candidates are strongly advised to use Aadhaar verification while completing the form for easier registration and processing.
7. No changes will be permitted once the application form is finally submitted.

2. Register as a new user with valid email ID and mobile number.
3. Fill in the online application form carefully.
4. Upload scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed format.
5. Pay the application fee through online payment modes.
6. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
