Key Requirements:
Focus on LLMs, generative AI, and agentic AI for patent analysis and IP strategy.
Strong emphasis on deep-tech industries such as semiconductors, energy, EVs, autonomous vehicles, and space/satellite systems.
Submissions must show methodological contribution and/or domain-specific insight beyond conventional AI/ML or rule-based tools.
Overview
This special issue examines how foundation models and agentic systems are changing patent search, prior-art analysis, drafting, classification, landscaping, valuation, and broader IP strategy. It is especially interested in R&D- and capital-intensive sectors where IP is tightly linked to engineering know-how, standards, supply chains, and regulatory constraints. The issue welcomes both methodological innovations and practical empirical studies that demonstrate real value in high-stakes IP settings.
Key Research Themes
Domain-specialized LLMs for patents and standards documents.
Agentic AI workflows for prior-art search, FTO, and patentability.
Generative AI for disclosure drafting and claim-chart generation.
Multimodal and code-aware patent analytics.
IP landscaping, competitive intelligence, and technology road mapping.
Sector-specific analytics for semiconductors, data centers, energy, EV, and space systems.
Cross-lingual and cross-jurisdictional IP analytics.
Evaluation benchmarks, error taxonomies, and human-in-the-loop systems.
Legal, policy, ethical, and inventorship implications.
