Introduction

Advancements in Artificial Intelligence, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and agentic AI systems, are transforming how organizations manage and utilize intellectual property (IP). These technologies are increasingly applied to patent analytics and strategic decision-making across deep-tech industries.

Aim and Scope

The special issue aims to explore innovative AI-driven approaches to IP analytics and strategy, focusing on methodological advancements, real-world applications, and interdisciplinary insights across R&D-intensive sectors.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (Editorial Manager).

• Select the article type: “VSI: LLM/GenAI/Agentic AI for IP analytics and strategy”

• Ensure strict adherence to the journal’s Guide for Authors (formatting, referencing, ethics)

• Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere

• Clearly highlight methodological contributions and/or domain-specific insights

• All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers
