Overview

This special issue, hosted by Omega, is dedicated to research presented at or associated with the 10th Workshop of the European Working Group on Vehicle Routing and Logistics Optimization (VeRoLog), taking place in Bath (6–9 July 2026). The issue aims to showcase high-quality, innovative research that promotes the application of operations research models, methods, and tools to the fields of vehicle routing and logistics.

Eligibility: Submissions are exclusively reserved for participants (speakers or attendees) of the 10th VeRoLog Workshop. Each participant may submit only one paper as the corresponding author.

Scope of Interest

The editors are interested in submissions that focus on:

• Vehicle Routing & Logistics: Contemporary modeling and solution approaches for routing and logistics problems.

• Practical Impact: Applications of data-driven and problem-driven models to address real-world optimization and business analytics challenges.

• Innovation: Breakthroughs in solving established problems and effective methodologies for novel application areas.

• Accessibility: Manuscripts should be written to be accessible to a diverse readership, including academics, practitioners, and managers.

Important Submission Policies

• Standard Peer Review: All papers will undergo the rigorous peer-review process standard to Omega.

• Revision Constraint: To ensure timely publication, any paper requiring a "major revision" in the second round will be removed from the Special Issue (though it may continue as a regular submission to Omega).

• Submission Portal: Submissions via the Omega Editorial System.

• Article Type: Authors must select “VSI: 10th Workshop of the VeRoLog EWG” to ensure proper routing.

• First round of review: By 31 January 2027
