Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management invites submissions for its Special Issue on Transforming Management Accounting: Digitalisation, Sustainability and Organisational Change.
About the Special Issue
Rapid advances in digital technologies, increasing sustainability expectations, and ongoing organisational transformation are fundamentally reshaping the role of management accounting. Beyond its traditional focus on financial control, management accounting is increasingly supporting strategic decision-making, sustainability initiatives, organisational resilience, and long-term value creation.
This Special Issue seeks qualitative research that explores how management accounting practices evolve in response to digitalisation, artificial intelligence, sustainability challenges, and organisational change. It welcomes context-rich studies that deepen theoretical and empirical understanding of management accounting transformation across diverse organisational, institutional, and geographical settings.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the ScholarOne Manuscripts submission system.

Only qualitative research articles will be considered for peer review.
