𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲

This Special Issue explores the transformative potential of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with mathematical modeling to advance population health and biomedical research. The issue focuses on rigorous mathematical approaches for understanding biological populations, physiological processes, and health informatics from a population-level perspective.

The Special Issue seeks original contributions that develop, analyse, and apply mathematical frameworks and AI-driven models to address complex health and biomedical challenges. Emphasis is placed on methodological innovation, population relevance, predictive accuracy, and interpretability of models.

Contributions that bridge theoretical development, computational techniques, and data-driven validation are particularly encouraged to establish a strong mathematical foundation for future AI applications in medicine and public health.

Submissions may address, but are not limited to:

• AI-driven mathematical models for population health and biomedical systems
• Learning algorithms for large-scale genomic and omics datasets
• Population genetics and disease risk stratification models
• Biomarker discovery using AI and computational methods
• Dynamical systems and differential equations in physiological and disease modelling
• Mathematical models of biological regulation and epidemiological processes
• Graph theory and network analysis in population health informatics
• Disease transmission and healthcare connectivity networks
• Gene interaction networks and systems biology applications
• Data-driven validation of population health models
• Predictive and interpretable AI models for healthcare applications
• Computational techniques for population-level health analysis
