Governments, industry leaders, and maritime organizations are investing heavily in smart shipping, digital infrastructure, green technologies, and resilient maritime systems to shape the future of global trade and logistics.

This Special Issue explores how policy innovation, business strategy, and emerging technologies are collectively transforming maritime operations. It seeks interdisciplinary contributions that connect governance frameworks, corporate strategies, and technological advancements to support safer, greener, smarter, and more resilient maritime ecosystems.

The issue highlights the growing importance of autonomous vessels, artificial intelligence, digital twins, smart ports, alternative fuels, cybersecurity, and sustainable maritime governance while addressing challenges related to regulation, workforce development, financing, and public acceptance.
