About the Special Issue
Artificial Intelligence is transforming libraries from traditional information repositories into intelligent knowledge service hubs. As AI-powered technologies reshape library services, user engagement, and operational workflows, new opportunities also emerge alongside important challenges related to governance, ethics, privacy, transparency, and inclusion.
This Special Issue seeks high-quality research exploring both AI-enabled innovation and responsible AI governance in library and information services. It welcomes empirical studies, theoretical contributions, and case-based research that advance trustworthy, human-centred, and sustainable AI adoption while supporting evidence-based decision-making for libraries worldwide.
