About the Special Issue
Knowledge Management Research & Practice invites submissions for its Special Issue titled "Intelligent Knowledge Management Systems: Integrating Human and AI Cognition for Organizational Innovation."
This Special Issue explores how the convergence of Knowledge Management (KM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming organizational innovation, sustainability, and strategic decision-making. As organizations increasingly integrate human expertise with AI-powered technologies, intelligent knowledge management systems are emerging as critical enablers of innovation, organizational learning, ethical governance, and long-term value creation.
The issue seeks to advance understanding of how AI-driven knowledge systems—including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and intelligent decision-support systems—can complement human cognition to create resilient, adaptive, and sustainable organizations. It also highlights the importance of balancing computational intelligence with human tacit knowledge while addressing challenges related to ethics, governance, algorithmic bias, transparency, and responsible innovation.
Researchers are invited to contribute conceptual, empirical, and methodological studies that examine the role of intelligent knowledge ecosystems in supporting ESG commitments, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), organizational resilience, and digital transformation.
