Overview

This special issue explores how cities can move toward post-car futures by rethinking public transport, accessibility, and urban form. It highlights the role of the 15-minute city, transit-oriented development, and N-minute city planning in shaping equitable and caring mobility systems. The issue is especially interested in how people’s travel practices, distances to transit, and the design of the built environment influence access, justice, and sustainability.
