Submission Opens: 15 September 2026
Journal of Service Management invites submissions for its Special Section on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling in Service Research.
About the Special Section
This Special Section focuses on advancing the methodological sophistication and substantive contribution of Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in service research.
PLS-SEM has become increasingly important for investigating complex theoretical frameworks involving latent constructs, higher-order models, complex structural relationships, and prediction-oriented research. Its applications span technology-enabled services, AI-based services, service robots, chatbots, customer experience, employee–AI collaboration, value co-creation, servitization, service recovery, and leadership.
The Special Section welcomes research that develops new PLS-SEM methodologies, applies recent methodological advances to contemporary service research questions, and demonstrates rigorous best practices in model development, evaluation, reporting, and interpretation.
