Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling in Service Research
Journal: Journal of Service Management
Publisher: Emerald Publishing
Manuscript Submission Deadline: 01 December 2026
Journal of Service Management invites submissions for its Special Section on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in Service Research.
About the Special Section
Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) has become one of the most widely adopted analytical approaches in service research, enabling scholars to investigate complex theoretical models, latent constructs, higher-order relationships, and prediction-oriented research questions. With rapid methodological advancements, PLS-SEM continues to expand its applications across technology-enabled services, customer experience, service innovation, AI, value co-creation, employee behavior, and organizational research.
This Special Section aims to advance both the methodological rigor and practical application of PLS-SEM in service research. Contributions are invited that introduce methodological innovations, demonstrate best practices, or apply recent PLS-SEM developments to address contemporary service management challenges from explanatory, predictive, or integrated perspectives.
Topics of Interest
Submissions may include, but are not limited to:
Methodological advancements in PLS-SEM for service research
Scale development and common method variance assessment
