The Journal of Foodservice Business Research invites original research for its Special Issue on "Beverage Experiences and Tourism in the Asia Pacific: A Consumer Focus." This Special Issue explores how beverages shape consumer experiences, destination branding, tourism development, and cultural identity across the Asia-Pacific region.
Traditional beverages such as sake, soju, shochu, tea, and plum wine represent important cultural assets, while emerging wineries, breweries, and distilleries continue to strengthen tourism and destination appeal. Despite this growing importance, beverage-related tourism research remains largely centred on Western destinations. This Special Issue aims to expand knowledge by examining consumer behaviour and beverage experiences within the diverse cultural and tourism landscapes of the Asia-Pacific region.
Researchers from hospitality, tourism, consumer behaviour, marketing, foodservice, and related disciplines are encouraged to submit original theoretical and empirical contributions.
