The Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies invites submissions for its Special Issue on Agentic AI and Entrepreneurship: Bright and Dark Sides Across the Venture Cycle.
About the Special Issue
This Special Issue explores how Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming entrepreneurship across the entire venture lifecycle—from opportunity recognition and venture creation to business model innovation, scaling, internationalisation, and exit. Unlike conventional AI, agentic AI can independently plan, coordinate, learn, and support entrepreneurial decision-making, creating new opportunities for innovation while introducing significant governance and ethical challenges.
The issue welcomes theoretical and empirical research examining both the benefits and risks of agentic AI in entrepreneurship. It encourages studies from emerging and developed economies that investigate human-AI collaboration, entrepreneurial ecosystems, digital transformation, sustainability, and responsible AI adoption while advancing entrepreneurship theory and practice.
