The Journal of Engineering, Design and Technology invites submissions for its Special Issue on Large Language Models (LLMs) for Intelligent Construction Engineering and Management: Applications, Decision Support, and Responsible Implementation.
About the Special Issue
This Special Issue explores how Large Language Models (LLMs) are transforming construction engineering and management by converting fragmented project information into actionable knowledge. It focuses on the application of AI-driven decision support across project planning, safety, contracts, finance, Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, and sustainability while addressing challenges related to explainability, privacy, governance, and responsible AI implementation.
The issue welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, review, case-based, and policy-oriented research that advances LLM-enabled intelligence in construction management. It aims to bridge construction engineering, artificial intelligence, informatics, sustainability, and digital transformation to support safer, more efficient, resilient, and sustainable built environments.
