The Journal of Economics and Development invites high-quality submissions for its Thematic Issue on Sustainable Growth and Welfare in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
About the Thematic Issue
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping economies by transforming productivity, labour markets, welfare systems, and long-term development pathways. As governments and institutions navigate the opportunities and challenges created by AI, there is an increasing need for evidence-based research that examines its implications for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
This Thematic Issue commemorates the 80th birthday of Professor Cuong Le Van, recognizing his pioneering contributions to economic theory, dynamic macroeconomics, optimal growth, and general equilibrium. It seeks theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented research exploring how AI influences productivity, structural transformation, inequality, and welfare, with a particular focus on emerging and developing economies.
