This special issue focuses on how tourism destinations can concretely mitigate climate‑change impacts and adapt to climate risks, responding to the “global polycrisis” framing and the growing gap between tourism‑policy goals and actual climate action. It invites empirical, interdisciplinary work that connects destination‑level strategies with governance, marketing, and management to advance both theory and practice in sustainable tourism.
