The Journal of Social Impact in Business Research invites high-quality submissions for its Special Issue on Beyond Productivity: The Performance-Wellbeing Paradox in AI-Enabled Work.
About the Special Issue
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming workplaces by reshaping how work is organized, managed, and experienced. While AI-enabled systems promise greater productivity, innovation, and operational efficiency, they also introduce significant challenges related to employee wellbeing, autonomy, trust, fairness, job security, and organisational ethics.
This Special Issue seeks interdisciplinary research that critically examines the performance–wellbeing paradox in AI-enabled workplaces. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, and conceptual contributions exploring how AI influences organisational performance while simultaneously creating opportunities and risks for employee wellbeing, inclusion, and long-term social impact. The issue aims to generate actionable insights for building more human-centred, equitable, and sustainable workplaces.
