Manuscript Submission Deadline: 30 September 2026
Information Systems Management invites submissions for its Special Issue titled "Responsible Design: Care Ethics for AI-Enabled Systems."
About the Special Issue
As Artificial Intelligence and digital systems increasingly shape organizational, public, and civic life, discussions around responsible AI have largely focused on fairness, transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance. However, less attention has been given to the relational, institutional, and structural dimensions of how AI systems influence human agency, participation, vulnerability, and social responsibility.
This Special Issue explores the role of care ethics and relational approaches in the design, governance, and evaluation of AI-enabled systems. It seeks contributions that move beyond procedural ethics to examine how responsibility, power, inclusion, legitimacy, and accountability are embedded within socio-technical systems and digital infrastructures.
