𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲

The journal Innovation invites submissions for its Special Issue titled Tradition and Aesthetic as Catalysts for Innovation: New Perspectives and Practices. The Special Issue seeks to explore how tradition, cultural heritage, and aesthetics can serve as powerful yet often underexplored drivers of innovation across disciplines, industries, and communities.

As organisations increasingly seek novel pathways to innovation, this Special Issue aims to advance academic and practitioner conversations by bringing together diverse perspectives on the relationship between cultural traditions, aesthetic values, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation practices. The issue welcomes research that generates emerging insights, showcases international experiences, and offers meaningful implications for science, management, entrepreneurship, and community development.

𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀

This Special Issue encourages contributions that:

• Examine tradition and aesthetics as complementary and underexplored levers of innovation
• Explore the role of cultural heritage and artistic practices in shaping innovation processes
• Investigate interdisciplinary approaches to creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship
• Present international experiences and applications across different geographical and institutional contexts
• Generate actionable insights for scholars, managers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and communities
• Bridge academic research with industry practices and real-world innovation challenges

𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

• Manuscripts should not exceed 7,500 words, including references.
• The Special Issue welcomes different types of papers based on innovativeness, significance, and practical relevance.
• Cross-disciplinary perspectives, diverse research methodologies, and collaborations between academic researchers and industry practitioners are particularly encouraged.
• Authors are advised to follow the general formatting guidelines of the journal.
• During submission through ScholarOne, authors should select the Special Issue title: Tradition and Aesthetic as Catalysts for Innovation: New Perspectives and Practices.
