The International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences invites researchers to contribute to a Special Issue exploring emerging challenges and opportunities in service management, service quality, technological transformation, and organizational resilience within the Asia-Pacific region.
About the Special Issue
Service systems are increasingly being reshaped by geopolitical instability, rapid technological advancement, sustainability pressures, economic volatility, and changing workforce expectations. At the same time, emerging technologies such as Agentic AI, automation, and intelligent service systems are transforming how organizations design, deliver, and manage services.
The Asia-Pacific region provides a particularly important context for this research because it sits at the intersection of rapid economic growth, geopolitical complexity, digital transformation, and sustainability challenges.
This Special Issue seeks research that advances understanding of the macro- and micro-environmental factors influencing contemporary service management, including geopolitical instability, Agentic AI, sustainability, globalization, organizational psychology, workforce adaptation, and service resilience.
The Special Issue is also linked to the SEIGOP 2027 Conference, which will be held at James Cook University, Singapore Campus.
