The International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR) invites Special Issue Proposals for an issue scheduled for publication in 2028/2029. The journal welcomes proposals addressing significant and emerging topics in management and organisation studies that can establish new research directions and make strong conceptual contributions to the field.
About the Call
Proposed Special Issues should focus on important topics or disciplines within management and organisation studies and identify a range of themes that could attract contributions from an international and interdisciplinary research community.
In line with IJMR's publication criteria, papers ultimately included in the Special Issue should make significant and novel conceptual contributions and be grounded in thorough and critical reviews of relevant literature.
The journal particularly welcomes proposals capable of challenging existing paradigms, developing new conceptual directions, strengthening interdisciplinary research, and enhancing the international reach and relevance of management scholarship.

Proposal Requirements
Special Issue proposals should include:
A clear justification for the proposed Special Issue.
An explanation of how the Special Issue aligns with the aims and ethos of IJMR.
A brief introduction to the proposed Guest Editors, including their editorial experience and standing in the field.
A plan for disseminating the Call for Papers widely to attract sufficient high-quality submissions.
A project plan outlining key target dates.

Guest Editorial Team
IJMR is seeking an experienced, diverse, and internationally representative Guest Editorial Team.
Selected Guest Editors will work closely with an Associate Editor from the IJMR editorial team. Responsibilities will include handling submissions, communicating with authors, inviting reviewers, and making recommendations on manuscripts through ScholarOne Manuscripts.
Guest Editors cannot author papers for the Special Issue, except for the Special Issue introduction.
