Overview
This special issue focuses on how common-good HRM can help organizations stay adaptive and ethically grounded amid climate volatility, technological disruption, demographic change, and rising stakeholder scrutiny. It positions CGHRM as a way to align people systems with societal value creation while sustaining organizational viability. The issue also connects CGHRM to resilience, legitimacy, dignity, reciprocity, and purpose in everyday HR practice.
Detailed Scope
The call invites conceptual and empirical work on how CGHRM builds on and extends sustainable HRM, green HRM, and socially responsible HRM. It highlights governance arrangements, context-sensitive HR designs, and evaluation systems that can trace HR interventions to resilience and SDG-related outcomes. It also welcomes research on stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, ethical cultures, team dynamics, fairness, justice, and the tension between performance pressures and common-good commitments.
Submission Information
The manuscript submission window runs from 1 May 2026 to 30 June 2026. Authors should submit through ScholarOne and indicate the special issue title in the cover letter and submission process. The call encourages original conceptual and empirical research using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, with attention to institutional, cultural, or industry context. A paper development workshop is also available at the 4th Common Good HRM International Conference 2026.
