Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Meets Entrepreneurial Behaviour: Putting the ‘Entrepreneur’ at the Core
Journal: International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research
Publisher: Emerald Publishing
Full Manuscript Deadline: 28 February 2027
The International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research invites original contributions for a Special Issue exploring the intersection between entrepreneurial ecosystems and entrepreneurial behaviour, with a particular focus on placing the entrepreneur at the centre of ecosystem research.
About the Special Issue
Entrepreneurial ecosystems are shaped not only by institutions, culture, governance, networks, and resources but also by the behaviours and decisions of individual entrepreneurs. However, the interaction between entrepreneurs' cognition, personality, decision-making, orientation, and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem remains insufficiently understood.
This Special Issue aims to bridge micro-level entrepreneurial behaviour with macro-level ecosystem perspectives, encouraging new conceptual frameworks, methodological approaches, and empirical evidence explaining how entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ecosystems mutually influence and co-evolve.
