International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research invites submissions for its Special Issue on Critical Perspectives in Entrepreneurship – Celebrating the European Research Tradition.

About the Special Issue

This Special Issue celebrates and advances the European tradition of critical entrepreneurship research. It invites scholars to move beyond conventional narratives that frame entrepreneurship primarily through economic growth, individual success, and universally positive outcomes.

The issue encourages critical examination of entrepreneurship's social, cultural, political, ethical, and economic dimensions, including questions of power, inequality, exclusion, neoliberalism, identity, well-being, and social justice.

Contributions may draw on diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives, including feminist, poststructuralist, constructionist, processual, posthumanist, and new materialist approaches. The Special Issue particularly encourages dialogue across academic generations and geographical contexts to rethink how entrepreneurship is understood, taught, researched, and practiced.
