International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research invites submissions for its Special Issue on Critical Perspectives in Entrepreneurship – Celebrating the European Research Tradition.

About the Special Issue

This Special Issue celebrates the rich tradition of critical entrepreneurship research in Europe, encouraging scholarship that moves beyond conventional views of entrepreneurship centred solely on economic growth and individual success. It welcomes research that critically examines the social, political, cultural, ethical, and institutional dimensions of entrepreneurship while challenging dominant assumptions and expanding inclusive, context-sensitive perspectives.

The issue invites conceptual, empirical, and methodological contributions that explore entrepreneurship through interdisciplinary lenses, including feminist, poststructuralist, constructionist, and process-based approaches. It particularly encourages research addressing inequality, wellbeing, entrepreneurship education, new technologies, and societal challenges, while fostering dialogue across academic generations and geographical contexts.

• Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 January 2027

• Manuscript Submission Opens: 01 November 2027

• Manuscript Submission Deadline: 30 November 2027

• Abstracts should be emailed to the Guest Editor by the submission deadline.

• A Virtual Paper Development Workshop will be held during Spring/Summer 2027.

• Full manuscripts must be submitted through the ScholarOne Manuscripts submission system.

• Authors must select the appropriate Special Issue during manuscript submission.

• All submissions must follow the journal's official Author Guidelines.

• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
