This Special Issue invites theoretical, empirical, methodological, and review papers examining how Artificial Intelligence can accelerate green growth, support climate action, and contribute to effective and responsible climate governance.
About the Special Issue
Artificial Intelligence is increasingly influencing how organizations, governments, and societies address climate change, environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, and green transformation.
The Special Issue brings together perspectives from management, economics, environmental science, information systems, public policy, and related disciplines to examine the technological, organizational, and institutional mechanisms through which AI can support sustainable development.
Particular attention is given to responsible AI governance, including ethics, transparency, accountability, regulation, and the environmental footprint of AI itself. The issue also seeks to understand how emerging technologies, including generative AI, can contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation while remaining environmentally and socially responsible.
