About the Article Collection
The International Journal of Adolescence and Youth invites submissions for its Open Access Article Collection titled "Adolescence and Youth: Critical Explorations of Contemporary Media."
This unique collection encourages researchers to critically examine how contemporary media shapes understandings of adolescence and youth. Rather than focusing on traditional research articles, the collection exclusively welcomes Media Reviews that critically evaluate the content, quality, significance, and scholarly value of non-print media related to children and young people.
With youth-focused media—including streaming series, podcasts, social media, films, digital platforms, and online communities—playing an increasingly influential role in shaping public perceptions of young people, this collection provides an opportunity to bridge media studies with adolescence and youth research.
